Mindful Movement & Simple Breathwork
Sol Moves is a yoga studio created to offer a softer, more grounded approach to movement. As the sister space to The Health Studio Sunshine Coast, it was built with the same intention, to give people a calm place to reconnect with their body and settle their mind. The studio blends mindful movement, simple breathwork and supportive teaching to help you rediscover strength and ease without rushing or force.
Classes are shaped around slow, steady progress, making the space welcoming for beginners as well as those returning to the mat. People may experience clearer focus, smoother mobility and a more rested nervous system after regular practice. The environment encourages presence, balance and a sense of calm that carries into daily life.

FAQ
Do I need experience to join a yoga class?
Most yoga classes welcome beginners, and teachers can offer modifications to suit your level. You don’t need to be flexible or experienced to start. Arriving a few minutes early to discuss any concerns can help the instructor guide you safely and comfortably through the session.
What should I bring to a yoga class?
Comfortable clothing, a water bottle and a yoga mat are usually all you need. Avoid heavy meals before class so you can move, twist and breathe with ease throughout the session.
How often should I practise yoga?
The ideal frequency depends on your goals and daily routine. Some people attend once or twice a week for general wellbeing, while others practise more often to build strength, mobility or calm. Consistency is more important than intensity, and even shorter sessions can offer noticeable benefits over time.
How can yoga complement strength training or endurance sports?
Yoga supports active individuals by improving joint mobility, body awareness and breath control. These elements help reduce stiffness that builds up during repetitive or high-load training. Many athletes also use yoga to balance nervous system activation, especially when their routine involves heavy sessions or long-duration exercise.
Slower practices can improve recovery by encouraging circulation and easing guarded muscles, while mindful movement enhances coordination. This combination can make training feel smoother and reduce the likelihood of overloading the same areas repeatedly.
Is yoga suitable for someone who struggles with flexibility or movement confidence?
Yoga isn’t reserved for flexible people. Many beginners start with limited mobility or hesitation around certain movements. Classes that emphasise stability, breath and mindful pacing allow participants to explore movement safely.
Props like blocks, bolsters or straps can make postures more accessible, and simple variations help build confidence without forcing range. People often find that ease improves naturally once the body feels supported. The aim is to meet the body where it’s at, not to achieve a particular shape.
